Symbiosis is a monumental sculpture designed by Olivier for the 2022 Lucca Biennale Cartasia, on the theme of the white page. The sculpture, representing a young girl dancing with a feline, symbolizes the hope of a possible cohabitation between the animal world and that of men.

Olivier Bertrand was born in Marseille in 1975. He became fascinated with drawing, visual arts and, more specifically, origami at a very early age. After graduating with a Master’s in Economics and completing his studies, he finally chose to move into web design. Today, by assembling bits of cardboard together, Olivier creates extraordinarily-amazing life-sized animals.
