Susanna is a Finnish artist, who returned to Helsinki after having spent 15 years in a ceramic ship in Naples. It is in Helsinki that she begins experimenting with paper based materials.
Her current art is achieved by creating sculptures that are made of partially broken down newspaper, methylcellulose, cellulose and colored papier-mache.
By using different materials and techniques, Susanna explores the connection between the self and matter, getting inspiration from the cyclical processes in nature, and from how the latter influences the artistic process.
