The 12th edition of Lucca Biennale Cartasia, the world’s biggest paper art and architecture event, is now accepting submissions for its Indoor, Residency, Fashion, and Performance categories.
This biennial event, held in the beautiful city of Lucca, Italy, has established itself as a premier destination for artists working with paper as a medium. From intricate paper sculptures to large-scale installations, the Biennale showcases the diverse and innovative ways in which artists are using paper to push the boundaries of art and design.
The Residency category is a unique opportunity for artists to spend a month in Lucca, immersing themselves in the city’s rich cultural history and using the time to develop new work.
The Indoor category is open to artists working in any medium, as long as their work incorporates paper as a central element. This could include anything from traditional papercut art to more experimental projects that use paper in unexpected ways.
The Fashion category is open to designers who are using paper as a primary material in their work. This could include clothing, accessories, or other fashion-related items made entirely out of paper or incorporating paper elements.
Finally, the Performance category is open to artists working in any medium who are interested in creating performances that incorporate paper as a central element. This could include anything from traditional papercut performances to more experimental, avant-garde pieces.
We are excited to see the creative and innovative work that artists will submit for the 12th edition of Lucca Biennale Cartasia. If you are an artist working with paper, we encourage you to apply and be a part of this exciting event. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to showcase your work on the international stage!
